I remember the day I met Mark a couple of years ago at a Griots Garage meet, where later in the day I would photograph his and a few other cars at a StanceWars/NW Built photo shoot in Tacoma, a couple months before the first annual StanceWars. I remember it because I was standing in the parking lot talking with Paul Bruney, about when the heck I was going to get some new wheels for my car (still haven’t hah!) My argument at the time was that I didn’t know where to get some decent wheels relatively local, Paul said, you know who would have the answers? Mark would, who’s Mark? was my response.

When I first saw this TL… it struck me as stunning. I kept seeing it around town; I just had to approach him. After only a few short minutes of discussion, he agreed to let me shoot it. Read more ›

Style, class, sophistication; these words come to mind when Mercedes happens to be whispered into our ear. That, or we are trying to remember that fake name the scantily clad cocktail waitress gave you when you asked her for a phone number. Yeah, we have been there. This Mercedes W114, /8 or Strich Acht as they were nicknamed in Germany is anything but the type of girl you try and pickup after a few too many drinks. There are two words that come to mind when I see a slammed classic, pure style. That’s right. Pure, true to form style.

As a student of Washington State University, Tyler knew he needed a more reliable form of transportation for his regular travels from Federal Way to Pullman. Dead set on a Subaru, this WRX filled the list of requirements.

I’ve never found my car anything special, she’s just my daily so I see her everyday so all the things i’ve done don’t stand out as much to me as to others. I really didn’t have major plans for the car, as my older brother introduced me to different upgrades I started reading up more and more and I soon found the now dreaded “vwvortex” haha.

StanceWars 2012

Andrew Events

In the weeks prior to StanceWars i can remember asking my friends if they were going to the show, since the show doesn’t have as long of a history as some of the other events in the pacific northwest i could immediately see the doubtful gaze growing in their eyes. I would go on to convince them of the great experience i had last year, describing the layed back atmosphere and all the great cars, the fantastic location, only to end my argument by simply stating, StanceWars was by far my favorite event of the year.
