I’ve never found my car anything special, she’s just my daily so I see her everyday so all the things i’ve done don’t stand out as much to me as to others. I really didn’t have major plans for the car, as my older brother introduced me to different upgrades I started reading up more and more and I soon found the now dreaded “vwvortex” haha.



I found the gli on craigslist for a steal, the previous owner had covered the entire interior in crushed velvet, and painted all the interior trim a off red from the car, I I fell in love with the tornado red color and slowly started to get ideas of what my plans were for her, especially to remove all things the PO had done.

Interior:
Interior was re-upholstered by my brother(http://www.inrwerks.com) my car was his testing waters for his first Recaro interior. This was done about 3-4 years ago so it’s showing its’ age.

When I first got the car she was just a commuter to get me from point A to B with still having the small itch to upgrade little things here and there, as time went by the itch was scratched and became a “rash” of upgrades, she is still daily driven to and from work, shows, gtg’s etc.

When I first got the car my brother helped me with majority of the work, as time went by he got busy with work and I had to learn little by little. I have had a lot of help from close friends and local vw/euro shops. It’s always a learning experience for me, if it’s not from good friends, Brent Brooks, Aaron Stanley, Josh @ Day N Night Rebuild , Too Quicks and many other people have all helped one way or another, whether it’s with info or a helping hand in the garage.
